Che Guevara 2018

Two gigantic murals, created on two buildings in San Giovanni a Teduccio, cover a total area of 700 square metres. The works, "Patria o Muerte", depicting the commander Che Guevara, were created immediately after Jorit's return from Bethlehem, where he had been arrested for having created a work dedicated to the young Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi. Che Guevara's murals, which like many others conceal political inscriptions and messages, are ideally related to the not-so-distant Maradona mural: "Love and concern for poor people, for the last. Maradona may not have been a great example in some aspects of his life, but he remains a champion who is very committed to social issues, someone who tends to take sides, says what he thinks and often does so by going against the United States and the powerful of the Earth. Both are men of struggle,' he says.
