Church of San Costanzo
On the eastern peak of Mount San Costanzo, next to a pine forest, is the small white hermitage dedicated to San Costanzo, the much revered patron saint of Termini, which can be reached by climbing a limestone staircase. The church, which dates from the second half of the 16th century but is probably older, is the centre of one of the most heartfelt religious festivals in the local tradition: on 14 May, a procession of the faithful moves from the church of Santa Croce to Termini, accompanying the statue of the patron saint up the mountain to the chapel dedicated to him, where it remains until the third Sunday in July, when the golden statue returns to the mother church, accompanied by the melodies of the band and fireworks.
