The mural is intended to be a symbol of social redemption in the East Naples area, espousing the themes of inclusion and the fight against racism. The project was financed by the Fondazione Banco di Napoli in cooperation with associations working in the area such as the cooperative "Il tappeto di Iqbal". Painted on a building between Via Chiaramonte and Via Velotti, opposite the Vesuviana train station in Barra, the mural depicts the most famous American activist, Martin Luther King, leader of the Movement for the Civil Rights of Afro-Americans, who was assassinated on 4 April 1968.Jorit had already dedicated himself to the civil rights champions of African-Americans in the United States, making the face of Angela Davis in Piscinola, North in 2019.
