A priceless treasure of jewellery, silver statues, precious furnishings and fabrics, masterpieces of art that bear witness to around seven hundred years of religious devotion. Spectacular are the Reliquary for the blood of St. Gennaro commissioned by Robert of Anjou for the ampoules of the prodigious blood, used during the processions; the Necklace that was enriched with new gems from 1679, when a Neapolitan goldsmith was commissioned to make the necklace for the bust of St. Gennaro, to 1929: 13 large gold links with diamonds, emeralds and rubies, to which gems donated by kings, queens, aristocrats and ordinary people were added over time; the Mitra di San Gennaro, one of the most precious objects in the world: 3964 precious stones, 198 emeralds, 168 rubies, 3. 328 diamonds, for a total weight of 18 kilograms. The silverware collection includes 54 silver busts of the patron saints and other silver works: a gallery of the history of Neapolitan goldsmithing.To complete the visit to the museum, a short staircase leads up to the sacristies of the Chapel of the Treasure, the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, the antisacristy and the sacristy known as Luca Giordano's sacristy because of the artist's signature on the ceiling fresco (1668).
