Park or garden of historical or artistic interest

Ventaglieri Park

From the heart of the city, towards the Vomero hill. The park, created in 1997, covers an area of about 8,000 square metres and climbs up towards the hill area on the tuffaceous ridge between Via Avellino a Tarsia and Via Ventaglieri, in the Montesanto district. The evocative layout of the park is very varied, with esplanades, pergolas and panoramic terraces, stairs and pathways, and winds its way through flowerbeds and bushes, shrubs and trees typical of Mediterranean flora: rosemary, broom, olives and pomegranates. The garden has a play area equipped for children in the lower area and a small amphitheatre in the upper part. The uphill route is facilitated by a system of escalators, which also serves as a link between the adjoining streets at different heights.
