Via Partenope is a street in Naples, an extension of Via Caracciolo together with which it forms the seafront of the city and the San Ferdinando district. In 1869 work began on the land reclamation that extended the mainland from the previous breakwater line - at Chiatamone - towards the perpendicular of Castel dell'Ovo. At the end of the work, the new Borgo Santa Lucia and via Partenope were built on the land reclamation.
